Dessert & Cake Options for your Christchurch Events

Your Wedding/Special Cake

We don't many custom cakes, so you can construct your wedding/special cake from a combination of our different layer cakes and associated decorations. Our options are intended to keep it simple on your special day, but still provide a beautiful cake for you.

Many people decide to use a 25cm cake as a base with a 15cm cake on top for a two tier cake - either the same flavour or different. You can order up to 3 tiers using the 3 sizes of layer cakes

For decorations, you can select any combination of the decorations you see on our cakes.. Our decorations are made of ganache and chocolate elements - we don't use fondant or colourings, and we don't currently create custom decorations.

You will pick it up assembled, so bring help to carry if you have multiple tiers, and ensure your transport slowly on a flat surface. We don't recommend any cake travel outside of Christchurch due to the risk of damage in transit.

As they arrive to your event/after a meal with drinks

You may want to offer our mini cakes or mini desserts, you can see a selection of photos above of smaller versions for large scale weddings

For petit four we suggest 4-6 per guest, for our mini cakes/desserts we suggest 1 per guest.

As your wedding/event dessert

We have a range of mini cakes and mini desserts which are a great option to serve as the primary dessert of your wedding - with many different options, you can choose specific cakes you want to serve directly to your guests, or can provide a buffet style serving of a variety of options for them to select.

For mini cakes we suggest 1-2 per guest.

We don't specifically make tasting boxes or specific slices as requested, but our most common flavours are for sale in Christchurch at our Patisserie in the Welder. This is where you'll also find a selection of our mini cakes and desserts.

If you have particular items you're wanting to try then let us know and we can let you know if they are available in-store to try.

For layer cake & mini cakes

You are very welcome to directly order online, you can select a combination of layer cakes, and mini cakes and leave a note letting us know this is for your special day. When ordering you select the date/time you will pick up the cakes from our patisserie at The Welder - ideally this is the day before your event to avoid stress for yourself.

We don't charge differently for a wedding, as we don't create custom cakes - variations in decoration is fine if it's swapping between our different layer cakes.

For petit four

We create petit four versions of our mini-cakes, so please get in touch to let us know which flavours and quantity so we can price this for you, as we don't have these online for direct ordering.

These are only available in large quantities for larger-scale weddings.
